The Union for Contemporary Art’s  $100 Art Sale

September 11th + 12th 2015
Midtown Crossing
200 South 31st Avenue | Ste. 4107
Omaha, Nebraska

It's hard to improve on a great thing... but The Union's $100 Art Sale intends to do just that with our two-day fundraiser. Not only will you be able to score a great piece of art for an incredible price, but our two-day event includes stellar entertainment, drool-worthy raffles, great food + drinks and the chance to create art with some of Omaha's most innovative artists. All that -- plus a chance to help The Union support our local arts community while working for greater social justice in North Omaha!

 >>> Tickets can be purchased in advance online using the above form (processing fees apply) or in person at The Union (2417 Burdette Street) Tuesday through Thursday from 12pm to 8pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door the day of both events -- cash + cards will be accepted.

Preview Cocktail Party
Friday, September 11th at 7pm | $25

Join us the night before the sale for an evening of cocktails and entertainment, featuring a performance by the Tbd. Dance Collective. You’ll have a chance to preview the show and develop a game plan for the main event… or if you find a piece that you just can’t live without, you’ll have an opportunity to make advance purchases at our “just gotta have it” price of $150. Ticket price also includes admission to the main event on Saturday. Small bites and desserts provided by The Grey Plume and La Charlotte-Caniglia Pastries.

$100 Art Sale
Saturday, September 12th | doors open at 2pm | $10

Your opportunity to acquire stellar artwork created by local + regional artists for just $100 a piece! Even if you don’t find something you love (incredibly doubtful, but let’s pretend!) you’ll have a chance to enter several great raffles, create work on-site with local artists and enjoy delicious bites and beverages… all while connecting with Omaha’s arts community + helping to support our work and mission!

Maker Stations >>> Come for the Sale, Stay for Some Fun! During Saturday's event, for a small donation in support of The Union you'll have a chance to make art -- or become art -- at one of Maker's Stations, hosted by several stellar local artists. Glaze a pot, screen print a limited edition poster, create a gorgeous paper hat, hit the photo booth or get gussied-up at our face painting booth.

Want yet another way to support The Union? Join us on the mat for a Mystical Flow class at Lotus House of Yoga – Midtown Crossing  before the $100 Art Sale! Class starts at NOON, $10 with all proceeds benefitting our programs + projects.

// Artists | We Need Your Help //

We would be honored if you would consider donating a piece (or two!) for the sale to help support The Union's work. If you donate artwork, you’ll receive a six-month membership to The Union’s Co-Op – providing you with access to our darkroom, print shop, ceramics studio + wood shop PLUS free admission to all of the workshops we’ll host through March 2016.  While developing the event, our goal was to create a fundraiser that would somehow give back to the artists we would be asking to support us, and we hope you feel that we've accomplished that.

Every dollar we raise will go right back into our programs and facility, allowing us to continue supporting the greater Omaha arts community, while working for social justice in North Omaha.

If you would like to contribute work for the event, you can drop it off at the times listed below — or, if you need us to swing by and pick up your donation, reach out to Josh Norton at to make arrangements.

Work can be dropped off on Mondays from 9am to 5pmTuesday through Thursday from 10am to 8pm and on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm at The Union // 2417 Burdette Street (just west of North 24th Street) through Thursday, September 10th. When you drop off your work, you’ll be asked to read through and agree to the Co-Op’s Terms of Use + House Rules and will then be given a membership card, providing you with immediate access to the studios. Already a Co-Op member? We’ll extend your current membership for an additional six months… just let us know!

100% of the proceeds will support The Union’s programs + projects -- benefiting the greater Omaha cultural community + creating positive social change in North Omaha.

We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors for their support of this event!
