The Trace Monotype method (or Direct Trace Method) is a technique where the artist rolls ink onto a smooth surface, lays paper onto the ink, and draws on the back of the paper, resulting in sketchy line work on the front. Perfect for beginners, this rudimentary printmaking process allows for fine, direct mark making with little to no experience needed.
