"Let's just call the page a room, as that is sort of how I imagine it." – Matthew Sontheimer

Join us for an evening of conversation and writing! Inspired by our current exhibition, "That's right...I still don't have a website.", Gabrielle Gaines-Liwaru will facilitate a rousing conversation covering topics ranging from heroes and sheroes, neighborhoods, and your thoughts about "Black Panther." Participants will chat, record their thoughts in writing, and organize those thoughts collectively on the walls of the gallery annex. To keep this conversation visible, portions of this dialog will be transcribed onto fabric and stitched into flags to be displayed at The Union this spring.

Gabrielle Gaines-Liwaru is a community and teaching artist in Omaha. She has murals emphasizing themes of empowerment at Hope Center for Kids and J-N-J Grocery, and has collaborated on projects with Urban League of Omaha, Douglas County Youth Center, and African Culture Connection.
