The Union for Contemporary Art is proud to partner with Omaha Zine Fest on a series of workshops leading up to Omaha Zine Fest. A patch, a simple accessory in counterculture fashion, can fulfill many roles.  A patch can represent a badge of identity, personality, and even solidarity. Learn the basics of screen printing a custom image on fabric to turn into your own iconic statement!

REMINDER: Every Thursday, The Union's Youth program hosts Youth Open Studios. Young artists ages 5-15 are invited to participate in self-directed studio time from 4-8pm. Come paint, draw, read, play games, or do homework in a fun environment. Participants can create projects inspired by our exhibitions with guidance from staff who will introduce a new project each week. Cost is FREE and no advanced sign up is required. Participation is capped at 15, on a first-come-first served basis.

Youth Open Studios was established to reduce barriers to participation in our Thursday Co-Op workshops for adults, creating an opportunity for young people to engage in hands-on art-making while their parents or guardians do the same. For more information, visit u-ca.org/youth
