With extensive backgrounds in arts funding and grant writing, Brooke Masek and Heike Langdon had mastered many of the tricks for finding funding for creative projects and writing outstanding grant applications. 

This workshop covered the following:
>> Which comes first, the idea or the funding source?
>> The differences between public and private grants 
>> Researching potential grant sources
>> How to write a stand-out grant

Brooke Masek is the Executive and Curatorial Assistant at Joslyn Art Museum and a freelance grant writer for Grant Writing and Consulting based out of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Heike Langdon has twenty years of development experience, beginning as a Grant Writer for the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. Since then she has worked in Development at Opera Omaha and KANEKO, as well as beginning her own grant writing and research company Rainwater. She recently became Manager of Possibilities for UNO's Community Engagement Center.
