In this Together Workshop, participants will visit the exhibition sometimes.we.cannot.be.with.our.bodies., a multimedia installation by the Pittsburgh-based artist Vanessa German. Upon reflecting on the exhibition, participants will create mixed media collages (2D) or assemblages (3D) with artist and activist Nicole Hulstein. Participants are encouraged to bring an object they feel connected to or inspired by to incorporate into their artwork.

As part of our effort to create intentional spaces for marginalized or underrepresented communities, this workshop was designed by an LGBTQ+ identifying artist with LGBTQ+ friends and families in mind. All are welcome to participate. No experience required.

Ages 3+ and their adults

$10 per adult/child pair + $1 per additional adult/child

As part of the Union's Youth program, Together Workshops are designed for families to explore creative processes together, such as printmaking, ceramics, gardening, painting, and food preservation. Each month, we offer opportunities to participate in these artist-led experiences.
