Blaise Weyerman

Blaise Weyerman is a peer mentor at The Union for Contemporary Arts. He mostly focuses on drawing but has explored many different mediums like acrylic and oil paint, pottery, and mixed media. His work is influenced by surrealism and pop art; he explores the line between realism and abstraction. He often utilizes line work, texture, and themes of loss, fear, and the forgotten. Blaise sees art as an outlet for his emotions, and as a way to document life, death, and experience. During his time at the union, Blaise hopes to inspire youth, and motivate them to use their talents and artistic ability for self expression.
