Nyarok (Rayn) Tot is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and earth steward who currently serves as the Youth + Outreach Manager at The Union. With over six years of nonprofit experience and eight years of experience working with youth, Nyarok seeks to create spaces for youth, families, and individuals to discover the power of personal expression and liberatory learning through the visual, performing, and ecological arts. Through their personal art practice, Nyarok emphasizes the preservation of African diasporic cultural heritage through the arts, creating multi-media works that are abstract, colorful, and Afro-surrealist in nature. They oversee all aspects of the Union’s many youth engagement programs, as well as manage the vibrant garden space on our campus known lovingly by neighbors as the Abundance Garden.
