Fall FUNctional Ceramics

Instructor: Trudy Swanson

A once-a-week workshop on Wednesdays for four weeks:
August 5: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
August 12: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
August 19: 30-7:30 p.m.
August 26: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Participants will create bird houses and soup bowls with spoons, all while exploring interesting ways to create surface textures and designs using mishima, sgraffito, and other methods. All work will be glazed and ready for use.

Cost: $135 + registration fee

Black and White 35mm Film Photography

Instructor: Brooklyn Johnson

A once-a-week workshop on Saturdays for four weeks:
August 15: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
August 22: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
August 29: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
September 5: 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Learn the fundamentals of shooting, developing, and printing black-and-white 35mm film. Participants will gain hands-on experience in the darkroom while exploring composition, exposure, and traditional photographic processes.

Cost: $120 + registration fee

Fun With Fabrics

A once-a-week workshop on Saturdays for two weeks:
August 29: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
September 5: 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Discover the fantastical world of fabrics. Create beautiful home decor pieces, fashionable wears and accessories. No experience required.

Cost: $65 + registration fee

Foundations in Wheel-Throwing

Instructor: Matthew O’Reilly

A once-a-week workshop on Saturdays for four weeks:
August 29: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
September 5: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
September 12: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
September 19: 1:30-4:30 p.m.

This four-week class offers a hands-on introduction to wheel-thrown ceramics for adults interested in learning the basics of clay and pottery making. Students will develop foundational throwing skills while also learning trimming, handle-making, and glazing. The course will include two bisque firings and one final glaze firing.

Cost: $185 + registration fee

A once-a-week workshop on Wednesdays for six weeks:
September 9: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

September 30: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
October 7: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
October 14: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Using clay as a medium, participants will transform their personal interests and passions into tangible works of art. This class offers a supportive environment where creators engage in discussions and receive personalized guidance, helping them problem-solve and build the skills to bring their unique artistic vision to life. Open to all levels.

Print Studio Sampler

Instructor: Toan Vuong

A once-a-week workshop on Wednesdays for two weeks:
September 23: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
September 30: 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Curious about printmaking? This two part sampler introduces participants to foundational print techniques through guided experimentation. Explore materials, processes, and image-making while creating finished prints in a supportive studio environment. All skill levels are welcome.

Cost: $65 + registration fee
