Celebrating the Release of a Powerful New Documentary
Join us October 21st for a Voices And Vision event at The Union that will focus on the new film by Nick Beaulieu, MY OMAHA.
Set against the backdrop of Omaha's deep divides and burgeoning racial justice movement, MY OMAHA tells the story of filmmaker Nick's personal journey to document the activism in his hometown and reconcile with his terminally ill father Randy, a staunch pro-Trump supporter. Guided by the wisdom of community activist Leo Louis II, Nick navigates the complexities of family conflict, political and racial discord, and the difficult search for common ground.
The Voices & Vision Initiative integrates community engagement and measurable impact into our arts programming to amplify unique perspectives and create a forward-looking strategy. Our work focuses on reimagining how we serve the Greater Metro Area by celebrating the rich cultural legacy of North Omaha and directly addressing the needs of our community through art.
