Malaya (Peer Mentor)

Meet Malaya

Malaya is a peer mentor at The Union for Contemporary Art. They are new to The Union and while they have minimal experience working with youth, they have a strong interest in teaching art as a profession in the future. In her personal art practice, Malaya is inspired by the work of other artists, often incorporating fragments of what she sees in her pieces. Working almost exclusively in digital media, they see art as a way to express themselves and to show how they feel. During her time at The Union, she hopes to help younger artists explore themselves and to give more insight into digital artwork.
