Sarah Schneiderwind

Sarah Schneiderwind first joined the team as a classroom assistant for Art Club in the fall of 2017. Returning in 2020, Sarah will lead ceramic workshops for youth in our Art Club program on Saturday mornings. Currently an art teacher for Omaha Public Schools, Sarah obtained her degree in Studio Arts with a K-12 teaching certificate from The University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2019. Her creative influence comes from daily life experiences and interactions. Her art techniques and mediums fluctuate based on current inspirations, often residing in the 3D realm; jewelry making, ceramics, and sculpture. She believes in the exploration and play of materials to really engage and grow. Sarah hopes to provide individuals with the knowledge needed to explore a medium so that they can decide what inspires them through creating a relaxed and fun environment to foster a continued desire for exploration and play.

Where is your favorite place in the world and why? A bench off a trail, it sits up high above the trail. When sitting on the bench you can either sit so that you’re watching the trees or flip around so that you’re watching the clouds. I love it! It’s so peaceful.

If you could visit any place in the world you haven’t been, where would you go and Why? Iceland. I want to see all the different geographies there. There are volcanoes, green hills, hot springs, the ocean, oh my!

What is the best advice you’ve heard or received? Live true to yourself.
