Thalia Rodgers

Thalia Rodgers is a youth teaching artist at The Union for Contemporary Art. Joining the team in 2020, Thalia will lead painting workshops for youth in our Art Club program on Saturday mornings. In 2019, she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a practicing artist who enjoys using various materials to draw and paint fantastical worlds that include nature, her dreams, random thoughts, and made up things. She views art as a way to express oneself, connect with other people, and a way to better understand the world. While at The Union she wants to encourage youth to explore their imaginations and express themselves.

If you were a crayon, what color would you be and why?If I was a crayon I'd be a multicolored crayon because I love all the colors and they all have their place.

What is something most people don’t know about you? Something people don't know about me is that I play guitar and sing songs to myself almost every day.

What is your favorite quote or motto? A phrase I like is, “let it go.”
